Location & Arrival in Maria Alm

from/to Munich

Take the Munich-Salzburg motorway to the Inzell exit in the direction of Siegsdorf, then via Lofer, Saalfelden (turn left) to Maria Alm (going this way means you do not use an Austrian motorway and therefore do not need to get/pay for a motorway toll sticker (Vignette!)

 

Or take the Munich-Salzburg motorway to the Inntal motorway junction, continue to Kufstein, then via Kitzbühel, Mittersill to Zell am See, then to Saalfelden (turn right) in the direction of Maria Alm (from Saalfelden to Maria Alm is about 5 km).

 

At the entrance to Maria Alm turn left and at the roundabout take the first exit right into the centre of the village.

The PoSt is located on the right-hand side of the village square right next to Hotel Eder.

from/to Vienna

Vienna – Linz – Salzburg – Bischofshofen (take the exit in the direction of St. Johann, continue to Zell am See (through the bypass tunnel) in the direction of Saalfelden, in Saalfelden turn right at the roundabout to Maria Alm, turn left at the entrance to Maria Alm, and at the roundabout take the first exit on the right into the town centre.

 

The Post is located on the right-hand side of the village square right next to Hotel Eder.

If the weather is good then you can drive from Bischofshofen to Mühlbach am Hochkönig, from there via the Dientner Sattel to Hinterthal approx. 7 km after Hinterthal you will reach the entrance to Maria Alm. Turn right here and at the roundabout take the first exit right into the centre of the village.

by train

The last train station before Maria Alm is Saalfelden, then you can either go by bus or taxi to Maria Alm

by Plane

Fly for the price of a taxi, from €19,99 with the low-cost airline TUIfly, which is now possible from the four cities of Berlin, Cologne, Hamburg and Hannover! In winter, skiers can get free transport and the free baggage allowance is increased from 20 to 30 kg.
